Public transport from Johor Bahru to Mersing
Taxi fare is approx. RM160 / cab per way (charter). Bus fare is about RM12.00/way from Larkin Bus Station, Johor Bahru. One of the air-con coach service S & S International at counter T 9 Depart at 8:30 a.m. & 2 p.m. (JB Tel: 60-07-2226246) & (Mersing Tel: 07-7992246) these are not frequent though. Alternatively, you can take Trans link Yellow bus No: 66 hourly at (MYR$5.80 / way) to Kota Tinggi interchange and hop on to another bus No 103 that go to Mersing hourly at about RM$9.00 (Tel: 6-013-7799246). Most of the buses will drop you at the New Bus and Taxi stand near the river, which you should walk or take a taxi that cost you 6 RM to Jalan Abu Bakar custom jetty for boarding near Plaza R&R.

Public transport from Kuala Lumpur to Mersing You need to go to Pudu Raya bus station and the fare is about RM20.0/way. One of the coach service operator is Transnational Express, Tel: (603) 20703300 , the buses leave at about 9:00 a.m. and the ride takes about 6 hours. Taxi fare is approx. RM300 - RM500 per taxi (chartered service).
